KEO PAGODA
(The pagoda of the Divine Light)
From Ha Noi, one can take a bus to the town of Nam Dinh. After crossing the Red river at the Tan De Ferry station and riding along the Red River dyke, one will reach Keo pagoda. From the dyke, one can see a panorama view of the whole pagoda on the background of the green rice fields of Duy Nhat commune, Vu Thu district, and Thai Binh province. The pagoda lies on an area of 108,000 square meters, 58,000 square meters of which is occupied by 17 structures. The bell tower of Keo pagoda is a work of art typical of Viet Nam's wooden joint construction technique of 17th century.

Binh Duong - Binh Phuoc

Just visit the provinces flourished by the river that bears the same name. This is the country of many ethnic minorities like Cham, Khmer, Mnong, Stieng who settle in their own typical villages. Lai Thieu, a big fruit garden is only 30 minutes driver from Saigon. Just pick the fruit by yourselves like mangoes, mangosteens, rambutans, longans, sour berries, and grapefruits. The lake of Soc Xiem that bears the ethnic Stiengs' name, located in the middle of a beautiful valley covered by many plantations of rubber trees that encourage a romantic walk under the sunrise.

My Tho

This is the entry to the Mekong Delta. My Tho has the biggest fruit gardens. It is interesting to visit the ancient pagoda of Vinh Trang, which was built at the end of the 17th century. The pagoda owns a set of 18 wooden statues of arhats. The snake farm of Dong Tam also serves as an attractive tourist spot.

Vinh Long

Is one of the most scenic provinces in the heart of Mekong Delta. Cruising on the big river then entering smaller canals with gardens of fruits on both side or a stopover at the unique floating market right in the middle of the river is marvelous. From here, a visit to the Khmer villages with many ancient pagodas can be suggested.

Soc Trang

Many Khmer pagodas. The Ma Toc pagoda is the huge nest for thousand of big bats that sometimes become delicacies to the local people and tourists. The Khmer museum of ancient artifacts is marvelous. All exhibits reflect a deep culture full of myth. If you want to enjoy real nature, just go to Bac Lieu, Ca Mau. You can walk into the bird sanctuaries. Mangrove forests hide an enormous source of wild life such as bats, tortoises, snacks, shrimps, crabs, fish and varieties of birds. Red head cranes choose Dong Thap as their territories. Those race birds are researched by bird watchers and environmentalists.

Is famous for the mountain, which form the border with Cambodia. Chau Doc with the Lady temple and a yearly pilgrimage attracts thousands of local people.

Ha Tien

Reputation is its scenery and historical places. Mac Cuu's temple is quite fascinating. The ferry that connects Ha Tien provides tourists with a change to enjoy the beauty of the open sea and mountains with farms of pepper plants. Ha Tien also possesses a small Ha Long bay beach by mountain with caves, which have fostered many myths and legends.
